This thick, woolen cap, the Chathum, with tie up or drop down earflaps with leather tie is truly the real McCoy. It has a cotton ticking stripe lining, cushion front sweat band covered in contrasting rayon and the brim sewn down in 3 places. If it looks authentic, it's because it is.
