Scrimshaw Pocket Knife - The Mcdowell Rigger
Seeking a pocket knife par excellence? Internationally renowned artist Sam McDowell does his scrimshaw magic on camel bone with what he calls "air winds and following seas" on one side, and a pair of dolphins on the other. This knife with sailor-made rope work is made by Kai Cutlery of Seki City, Japan, a company with a legendary history as makers of fine Samurai swords. It features an oval-eye serrated surgical steel blade for easy opening and for cutting rope...fast. Its Stainless steel construction resists salt and fresh water corrosion. The locked marlin spike is released by shackle. Each knife is individually hand-engraved and signed by the artist. Delivered in a leather pouch.
