also boasts a handsome leather bill. The Magee Anton is an ivy cap made from classic Magee Donegal twill and its leather brim is sewn down. This cap also has earflaps that drop down for added warmth on brisk and blustery days. As with all Wigens hats, you can expect quality workmanship and a great fit.
If it's a wool walking hat you seek, The Paddy, from Jonathan Richard is ideal, made of an exceptional wool tweed from one of Ireland's many boutique woolen mills. Soft yet durable, this stingy brim hat fits full on the head. If you're impressed with The Paddy, you'll probably also really like a tweed cap called The Motoring. This fully lined newsboy with snap brim is offered in your choice of Grey or Brown tweed as well as in Brown woven plaid.
Jonathan Richard offers another men's cap you may wish to consider called The Driver. The substantial Irish wool tweed in this driving cap is quite wonderful and makes it one of the nicest I've ever tried on. The style is classic, and it's a fully lined lid with a brim that snaps down.
Borsalino offers a tweed cap with elasticized earflaps that hug the neck for the fashionable guy with cold ears. Called The Salvatore, it's a fine satin-lined tweed ivy cap in classic driver style. If you prefer caps without drop-down earflaps, The Mario, a newsboy cap, crafted from two distinctive finely woven woolen tweeds so soft you'll swear the fabric is really cotton, might be just the thing. The Claudius is another wool cap in the newsboy 8/4 panel style, this one issued by Christys'. It's styled with a cushion front, sewn down brim and snap peak, then finished with a jacquard lining.
A few more caps caught my eye this season. The Ingaro is a fabulous wool tweed longshoreman's ivy cap with leather brim, satin lining and drop down earflaps and The Alnon is a handsome newsboy cap in textured wool with a brim that's stitched down. Both are from Wigens and have the perfect fit to prove it. Kangol's Peebles, a driving cap in wool, is new this season and features a sewn down brim in a contrast color with a leather folded tab at back. The effect is very pleasing.
