The straw hat for men you're seeking to complete your happiness this spring and summer awaits you at the Hartford York selection of men's casual straw hats. Once you determine the event, you choose the hat. Evenings at the beachside cabana might call for our little Breeze Ascot, an ivy cap from Bailey, or this Scala raffia and ribbon weave (called The Grady Cap), while summer in the city is well served with Borsalino straws, such as The Baku Porkpie, The Sicilian Fedora, (known affectionately as our hemp hat), and of course, The Baku Fedora. What's considered informal to some may be haute to others, but I'll put out pieces of our stunning collection of panama straw hats for your consideration nonethless. The Montecristi hats take some study to appreciate how much effort goes into creating the Brent Black fedoras like The Classic One. Let me toss another your way -- The Optimo is a panama hat from none other than The Panama Hat Company. This hat is again the real McCoy, woven in Ecuador, where they call it 'the Natural'.
I hate to see grown men cry but I've got more hard choices for you, starting with The Panama Pinch Front Porkpie III from Makins. You'll see that I've reduced the price on this fine bit of straw, just as my little way of bidding you a pleasant season of summer sun. Not to be ignored, of course, is another outstanding hat at a more than reasonable price, and its image is right next to the aforementioned porkpie: it's a Stacy Adams fedora, cool in unlined straw, named The Lafayette. The Raffia Fedora, a Borsalino gem, may take a deeper pocket, but given the Italian origin this woven summer hat (with just a hint of two-tone and available in taupe or charcoal), it's one heck of a bargain. More Borsalino beauts come your way with the handwoven Panama Fino and Fino Turndown, the latter featuring a down-turned brim, natch!
Milano Hats gallops into the straw hat picture with westerns and cowboy hats for men. They've got El Jefe (which means "The Boss"), The Riviera (that's the one for the rancher with everything, except obviously a hat), The Straw Casablanca (a western hat this side of perfection) and The Cowboy (named thusly to prove its western authenticity, or simply because they ran out of names). Bailey Hats, on the other hand, has gone silly for porkpies with men's hats like The Managua, two-tone Ponies At The Gate and the choice of successful, impeccably-dressed businessmen everywhere, The Milan.
I could go on, you know. But since I'm hitting the open road in (what else?) my Open Road straw western hat from Stetson, I'll save it.
