The men's caps at Hartford York for the Fall/Winter season include a fabulous 100% cashmere ivy cap from Borsalino. In a fine herringbone pattern and sporting a sewn down brim, this luxurious cap is fully lined with satin and has a grosgrain sweatband for added wearer comfort. JB Stetson also offers a sumptuous cap made from a blend of Cerruti cashmere and silk. It's a newsboy cap with a sewn down brim and satin lining and the fit is as perfect as the feel. You find as well a duo of patch caps from
JB Stetson, one a driver cap and the other a newsboy. The caps feature various patterns in wool, cotton and rayon and sport cool poker motif linings in cotton.
Leather caps are always nice to have on hand in the Fall/Winter season, and The Redding from JB Stetson is a new ivy cap that's both rugged and comfortable. It will keep you warm with microfleece lining and drop-down earflaps, and it's as stylish as any men's cap has the right to be. For a leather cadet cap, take a look at Stetson's Byers. It too is warmly lined with microfleece and offers added weather protection with earflaps that drop down when needed.
We have some men's caps that are offered exclusively here at Hartford York -- you can't buy these anywhere else. One is The Chattanooga, a superb newsboy cap in a substantial heavyweight linen. Made by SuperDuper in Italy exclusively for Hartford York (and you), the cotton-lined cap has a snap brim and a leather strap at the back for a sure fit. From the Paris workshops of Anthony Peto, there's a very full cut woolen newsboy cap called The Bakers Boy 2014. This plaid cap is comfortably lined with cotton and has a single snap front for a great silhouette. Another really special cap we found when meeting with Anthony Peto is The Montparnasse, a remarkably comfortable, full cut bakers boy cap in a herringbone pattern made of a cashmere/wool/cotton blend.
Made in New York, and also exclusive to Hartford York, is a driver cap in 100% wool melton from the Mr. Kim collection by designer Eugenia Kim. Thes five-panel ivy cap has a textured salt and pepper finish that's really something and finishing touches include a two-snap front, satin lining and grosgrain sweatband. There's also The Lincoln, a "Civil War" cap in a nearly decadent blend of wool, cashmere and a touch of mink. The cap is in Black and features a contrast two inch brim in Charcoal, and is finished with a satin lining. A must-have.
Whether you're looking for a wool felt ivy cap, like the new Melange 507 from Kangol or an authentic French beret, like The Casquette, the 100% melton wool cap with brim from Laulhere of France, you're sure to find the style of men's cap, made by your favorite brand name and in the material you love to wear. It might even be a exclusive!
