Some things in life are necessary. Hand made French cutlery such as this corkscrew, aptly named Le Sommelier, and pocket knife for picnics obviously tops the list. If you've been reading up on your knife-making history, then you'll know that making knives has been the lifeblood of the tiny hamlet of Laguiole in France for more than two centuries. If you've been reading the small print, you'll also know that their corkscrew won the Design Grand Prix in Ambiente, Germany, for reasons including the fact that the five turn screw is both aesthetically and aromatically enhanced with a juniper wood handle.
