clery cap. The impact doesn't stop there, of course. The plaid pattern used in this version of The Ventair 504 Ivy (the unisex, young-at-heart cap that shot Kangol into the headwear stratosphere) is brilliantly repeated in their classic walking hat, The Tropic Plaid Trilby, as well as in their plaid ballcap, The Kangol Ventair Space Cap. It should be noted that in addition to their Plaid Ball Cap, Kangol offers baseball caps in wool and poly knit (think Ventair). Obviously Kangol hats are like chips and one is just never enough.
Even though The Tropic Galaxy Newsboy is one prime example of how well Kangol reinvents classic hat shapes, traditionalists amongst you (who correctly note that trilbys haven't changed much in the last century or so) will enjoy Kangol's knit version of the men's trilby hat with its not-too-edgy classic shape.
Kangol's gone color mad as usual, and I dare say you'll have a time selecting only one woolen 504 Ivy Cap from the incredible array offered. Same wonderful problem of selection with The Carrimac, a classic ivy cap in pure melton wool. At least The Herringbone Baseball Cap is offered in just two excellent shades: Dark Flannel or Khaki. Sadly (sort of), the poly knit Ventair 504 Ivy Cap comes in an embarrassing variety of colors including (and depending on your size of head): alder, aloe, charcoal, dew, grey, nat, navy, opal, pink, raspeberry, sage, or white. As I'm obviously unable to choose just one color (which is why I waffle and then end up buying them all), I leave the decision up to you. If you decide you too must buy the lot, call me. We'll talk.
