Our Helen Kaminski collection of women's hats and handbags (including leather and handwoven nappa macrame bags!) is simply inspired again this season. And no, I'm not being overly effusive: take a gander at the magnificent broad brimmed raffia hat with silk wrap called The Hakiki; or maybe a peek at The August, a raffia braid and silk sateen sun hat; or just gaze upon The Malia, an incredibly beautiful raffia braid fedora with embroidered floral silk chiffon scarf wrapped round the crown, and I think you'll cede the point. If that's just somehow not enough, then I believe The Shani, a raffia sun hat with pretty bead patterns and delicately embroidered birds embellishing the luscious silk chiffon scarf wrapped around the crown and cascading downward, will stike a chord of rapture in you. Kaminski also does sophisticated-casual like nobody's business, and her raffia bags like The Bakongo, with its African style and natural vegetable leather tassles, are as inventive (and essential) as her linen brim sun hats, or the famed Kaminski walking hats like the safari-style Debra and the all-linen Keren. Can you imagine anyone other than Helen Kaminski creating a raffia clutch? What about a raffia clutch lined in leather with Swarovski crystals decorating the foldover flap? How 'bout a boysenberry colored raffia braid purse with patent leather handles? I thought not.

Kaminski women's caps like the structured Amina, in raffia with a silk wrap, and her sun visors always sell like hot-cakes. It's not hard to see why when the visors include The Avena, with its exceptionally broad five inch brim; the unique cotton canvas and raffia sun-visor called The Charon; the all-natural Mareta with a fine raffia braid brim and long, lovely silk sateen ribbon tied at back; as well as the streamlined Marnie sun visor, with its visor band in pure panama cotton and HK logo elastic. Always thinking practically as well as artistically, Kaminski's sun hats like the stunning Cassandra in fine cotton canvas, carry a UPF rating of 50+ for total sun protection.
If you're planning a cool evening escape from the heat, you might consider The Logan Fedora (in totally toffee) or the soft elegance of The Perlita, a cloche. Perhaps a wool hat like The Luthien, a high fashion military-style cap, would best float your boat -- but if not, then you're probably looking for something in fur felt, like the lovely Liana fedora with asymmetric brim and floral design. If I were a woman, I'm pretty sure I'd keep the hand-finished Vogues Leather Handbag as my go-everywhere purse, and I think you might too.
Don't forget to grab the almost too-sweet-to-be-true Bechiti rollable velour fur felt cloche with flat top and fine leather trim. It's unlined, and great for a gal on the run. In fact, it's a Kaminski hat that you'll want to wear as often as possible. Unless, of course, you return to the beach. In that case, perhaps you might be good enough to start reading from the top.
