And what hats he made!
He made The Sahara, a canvas expedition hat that can only be described as formidable gear. It's feature laden headwear, with adjustable inside straps, front/back chin cord, two stage sun shield for neck protection, coolmax sweatband, hidden pocket, mesh sides, and orange mesh lining. A little life-saving advice: turn it inside out so the bright orange can serve as a beacon in case of emergency.
Luke Landers also made The North Rim Outback, an absolutely indestructible nylon/cotton blend expedition hat with canvas band, mesh peak, hidden sun guard, sunglass holder and a sun-shading 3 1/2 brim. His Clear Creek Hat is made from the same tough material as the North Rim Outback, but the brim is slightly shorter at 3 inches. Attention to details is crucial in Luke's line of work.
The versatile Equator ball cap, called The South Shore, is perfect for wherever you are: having a little fun on the beach or on a glorious desert hike. Comfortably unstructured, the look is cool (in khaki, slate or yellow) plus it comes all sun protected with a zipper pull-down sun shield.
Be forewarned: once you don an Equator hat, there's no turning back!
