The men's dress hats for the Fall/Winter season here at HartfordYork.com, such as the Rubiku hats from Borsalino called The His & Hers and The Hattery Flattery, being uniquely embroidered fur felt fedoras featuring the work and vision of Albanian artist Anila Rubiku, are about the nicest I've ever seen (as are, of course, those that make up our collection of Spring/Summer dress hats for men). I think you'll agree when you examine too the The Balducci, a beaver fur felt stingy brim from Borsalino, a

limited edition with just 12 Italian-made pieces, as well as The Limited Edition Cervelt, another Borsalino dress hat, this magnificent fur felt fedora made from a blend of furs including that of the New Zealand red deer. The Como is also fur felt fedora from Borsalino of Italy but with this dress hat, you've got fur felt in a rich blend of beaver and rabbit. The hat is smartly trimmed with a grosgrain band and the 2 1/2 inch brim allows it a silhouette that is quite distinct. Rounding out the new fur felt dress hats from Borsalino this season is The Limited Edition Tracks, an elegant and unusual fedora featuring contrast embroidered concentric circles on its two-inch brim and trim.
Biltmore offers a remarkably beautiful men's dress hat this season, a fur felt pork pie hat called The Peluche Pork Pie. The hat features a peluche finish, which means the nap is left long and uncombed. I don't know if I prefer it in Red or Silver, but both versions are smartly trimmed with a multi-tone band and Biltmore pin and finished with a leather sweatband and satin lining. There are the hats from designer Eugenia Kim of New York you'll want to consider as well. The Velour Tony is a pork pie hat with a diamond crown. It's made from 100% fur felt with a soft velour finish and trimmed with a truly imaginative tarnished metal chain mesh with small feather. The same pork pie silhouette is available with The Tony, but this Eugenia Kim dress hat has a textured finish, giving it a wholly different look. The trim is an elegant grograin ribbon with double bow.
Makins is another hat maker located in New York, and the dress hat they offer, called The Pheasant Band, is nothing less than sublime. It's a fur felt fedora with a velour finish and it's stylishly trimmed with a band of pheasant feathers. From Texas, Stetson, those makers of legendary hats for men, have a wonderful pure beaver fedora called The Benchley on offer. It's a soft, pinch front with a bound brim and tall crown (the trim is one inch). Very comfortable and very good-looking.
I'd mention Christys' hats like the fur felt top hat and bowler if I had more room, but I'm done. I'll just point out that The Velour Cody from Makins is simply outstanding. It's another traditional dress hat, being a homburg, and the fur felt has been given a smooth velour finish. A stingy brim hat, it's got a center dent, grosgrain ribbon band trim and piped edging. All it needs now is your head to make it complete.
