Men's caps for spring, like The Napoli Ivy Cap in a striped and textured cotton and silk blend, and summer hats too (I'm thinking The Openwork Ramie, a lightweight fedora woven in an open pattern from the natural fiber) are here from Borsalino! women's hats of course, like the exquisite Andrea, a Panama sun hat) internationally, you'll be happy to see we have Panama hats and raffia fedoras and even newsboys in every material (including wool) all year round. And it's not just any linen ivy caps we carry, no sirree! These babies--even that linen rex they call The Lucia--are Borsalino lids, every last one of them, right down to the baseball cap, and each one is imported for you directly from Italy. You'll see, for instance, that we've got the intricately woven Baku pork pie hat, with its lightweight and airy feel, on hand along with that ever-popular summer fedora in hemp (yes, that would be The Sicilian) in stock as well.
I don't know about you, but I think classic Panama hats like The Fino and Fino Turndown look as fabulous on women as they do on men, so let's categorize this genre of straw hat as gender blind or unisex or whatever the politically correct term is today. Naturally, I also like to see women in ball caps and ivy caps. Don't get me wrong: men can wear Borsalino caps too, it's just I get beat up when I stare at them in admiration. Like the time I saw one fellow in that longshoremans cap from Borsalino, The Palermo. I guess he didn't believe that I was gazing lovingly at the tweedy texture and long sewn down brim of the cap (and not, of course, at him).
Ah, well. Live and learn. In your linen newsboy from Borsalino.
