Somewhere in the world, people are wearing their spring caps and summer hats. And since HartfordYork.com ships men's and women's hats internationally, you'll be happy to see we have Panama hats and straw fedoras and even newsboys in cotton all year round. And it's not just any linen ivy caps we carry, no sirree! These babies are Borsalino lids, every last one of them, right down to the baseball cap, and imported for you from Italy. You'll see we've got the intricately woven Baku Porkpie, with its lightweight and airy feel, and that ever-popular summer fedora in hemp (yes, that would be The Sicilian) for the boys to pick from; while the girls can try to choose between The Andrea and The Francesca. These women's dress hats are both broad-brimmed for glare protection and expertly woven from high-priced natural fibers so fine the sun hat feels like cloth to the touch.

I don't know about you, but I think classic Panamas like The Fino and Fino Turndown look as fabulous on women as they do on men, so let's categorize this genre of hat as gender blind or unisex or whatever the politically correct term is today. Naturally, I also like to see women in ivys like the pin striped silk/linen and cotton blend Silvio and the unlined Napoli cap with its fun railroad vibe. Don't get me wrong: men can wear them too, it's just I get beat up when I stare at them in admiration. Like the time I saw one fellow in that longshoremans cap from Borsalino, The Palermo. I guess he didn't believe that I was gazing lovingly at the tweedy texture and long sewn down brim of the cap (and not, of course, at him).
Ah, well. Live and learn. In your linen newsboy from Borsalino.
