Ball caps sure have changed since I was a kid. I'm talking baseball caps like that fashion-forward linen ballcap called The Isak, a Wigens paisley-lined creation with low crown and long sleek silhouette and, and like The Pisa from Borsalino, cool with mesh lining and the famous logo emblazoned across the front. In fact, The Pisa is similar in style to another Borsalino ball cap called The Umbria, except that the latter is in a finer weave of cotton with wool. And I'm also talking about cotton ball caps created by an alliance of San Francisco artists that combine art and history -- like The Marduk, and The Epic of Gilgamesh. You just can't get inspired men's hats like these, with the cosmopolitan style and dedication to quality workmanship, unless you buy ballcaps made by 1333 Minna. For the traditional man of baseball, Kangol ballcaps like The Ventair Space Cap, and The Wool Flex Ball Cap are classic enough to satisfy yet stylish enough to boast the Kangol name. The Herringbone is another cotton blend flexfit ball cap from Kangol, and has a great herringbone pattern on the bill and the back of the crown that takes this cap from player status to MVP.

Don't forget your Indiana Jones ball caps! Ready for any adventure, you've got your choice of The Indy Adventure (a cotton ballcap with a metal Indiana Jones badge front and center) and The Crystal Skull Ball Cap with leather trim and branded Indiana Jones patch. More excitment comes your way with that looker, The Monroe, an all-leather ball cap from Stacy Adams and the cold-fighting Baltic, in flawless shearling, from Wigens (you know, of Sweden). If 100% Irish virgin wool turns your hat crank, in a herringbone pattern sort of way, then The Jonathan Richard Sport Cap, with its pre-curved bill, might just be a perfect fit.
Yup. Things sure have changed in the world of baseball caps. Goretex back in the day? Stetson designing ball caps? Just-for-fun cadet hats like The Gothenburg? Ha! I think not.
Maybe the good ol' days were good. But we've just made them better in our ball caps.
